Module 1:NATO’s Role in Global Security and Peace
Overview: This module examines NATO’s role in shaping Trans-Atlantic security and peace and its adaptation across its history. It explores how NATO has adopted an approach to navigate complex security challenges, demonstrating its continued contribution to fulfilling its three core tasks - deterrence and defence, crisis prevention and management, and cooperative security - and creating sustainable and meaningful impact globally.
Module 2: The Role of Youth in the Future of Security and Peace
Overview: This module explores NATO’s current priorities, its security policy and how young leaders can play a role in shaping global security and peace. It aims to provide a better understanding to young leaders about NATO’s current agenda and examine how they can drive change and create solutions aligned with the organisation's goals.
Modules Outcomes
The Academy will empower young leaders from NATO countries and select partners to understand NATO’s role and the importance of youth in the organisation. It will encourage participants to see NATO’s relevance in today’s security landscape, while highlighting how young leaders contribute to global security and future generations’ safety. By the end, participants will gain a clearer understanding of NATO’s priorities through expert insights and course materials. Their perspectives will also help shape NATO’s future projects and emphasise the role of youth in collective security and partnerships.
