What are the key dates for the Academy?

31 March: Session 1 launch

Academic Resources

Are there any academic resources available for the courses?

Yes, academic resources for all courses are available in all modules before the Overview Session. These resources are accessible 24/7 and remain available after completing the course.

 

Session Specifics

When will the sessions be available?

All sessions are accessible from their release date as outlined above.

Will participants lose access to sessions if they don’t log in at a specific time?

You will have access to all sessions from their release date and can watch them at any time. The platform remains open for one year after the Academy concludes.

Will all sessions be launched on the same day?

The sessions will be released on a staggered schedule:

  • Monday, 31st March
    • Session 1: “Navigating Today's Global Landscape: Challenges and Opportunities in Malaria Eradication’”
  • Monday, 7th March
    • Session 2: “Achieving a Polio-Free World: Strategies and Success Stories in Polio Eradication”
  • Monday, 14th April
    • Session 3: “Empowering Africa through Family Planning: Strategies and Success Stories”
  • Monday, 21st April
    • Session 4: “Enhancing Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health in Africa: Effective Strategies and Inspiring Successes”

Will I have access to all sessions at once?

Each session will become available only after you have completed the previous session and passed the accompanying quiz with a 100% score.

Are all sessions about the same topic?

Each session covers a different aspect of challenges and opportunities for health issues such as malaria eradication, polio eradication, family planning, and/or maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH).

Are all sessions pre-recorded? How can I ask questions or leave comments

All sessions are pre-recorded. You can leave your comments or questions in the feedback survey after completing the course.

Can I log in to the platform at any time?

You can log in at any time. After all sessions are launched, you will have access to them for one year, even after the course is completed.

Is completing the quizzes mandatory?

You must complete the quizzes and achieve a 100% score to proceed to the next session.

How many attempts do I have for the quizzes?

You can retake the quizzes as many times as necessary.

 

Language Availability

Which will be the language that will be delivered to the Global Health Academy?

All sessions will be delivered in French and English.

 

Feedback survey and Credly badge

Will I still receive a badge if I do not complete the feedback survey?

Please note that the feedback survey is mandatory for all participants. You will not receive a badge if you do not complete the feedback survey. When you complete the full Global Health Academy course and submit the feedback survey, you will qualify for your free Credly certification and will receive an email with further instructions on claiming your badge. Why should I submit a video or an essay?

We encourage you to follow the instructions on how to submit a 3 - 5 minute video or  1500–3000-word essay in French or English to get the opportunity to attend the One Young World Summit in Munich in November 2025, the One Young World  Global Leadership Programme, and the Action Accelerator Programme that will empower you and improve your leadership skills for a better social impact. Just the top 8 deliverables will be selected.

What are the selection criteria for winners?

We are looking for participants who:

  • Demonstrate impact through measurable improvements in social and community malaria eradication, polio eradication, family planning, or MNCH health outcomes.
  • Represent diverse regions and approaches to malaria eradication, polio eradication, family planning, or MNCH.
  • Lead and advocate by mobilising communities and influencing policy change.
  • Are powerful, compelling speakers.

When will the winners will be announced?

What is included in a fully-funded spot to participate in the One Young World Summit 2025?

  • Access to the One Young World Summit 2025, taking place from 3 - 6 November in Munich, Germany.
  • The cost of travel to and from Munich (flights in economy).
  • Domestic travel costs to the airport to take the international flight (flight in economy).
  • Hotel accommodation during the Summit dates.
  • One night of hotel accommodation (if required) for the visa application process.
  • Additional night pre-summit (if needed).
  • Visa costs, if applicable (including visa application cost and required travel for visa appointment).
  • Catering which includes breakfast at the hotel accommodation, and lunch and dinner at the Summit.
  • Transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue.
  • Lifetime membership to the OYW community.
